Shaped by Interstitial Moments
Working in and across industries, I see insights and moments in the in-between, those interstitial connections, where people feel connected to each other and their work. Whether in remote, hybrid, or in-person environments, I believe we can create a better future of work that is grounded in our collective humanity and belonging.
Being an only child and a first-generation American gave me the skills to connect with and understand others. Summers in India contrasted with my life in suburban DC and exposed me to issues of inequity, which instilled in me a strong sense of service and being an agent of change. Living in the in-between, the tension between being an only and that of belonging is where I find my agency, empathy, and commitment to creating inclusive communities and workplaces.
gifted with the Curse of the Curious
My multi-passionate interests (that I lovingly call the curse of the curious) have led me to work in social impact, higher education, the arts, start-ups, and workforce development. I’ve interviewed best selling authors, supported Tony award winning teams, and worked at coveted institutions, all with the commitment to further our human connection. Throughout my career, I have often been the first in a role or charged with redefining a role, which has given me the ability to design systems and structures, see opportunities, and cultivate relationships.
Using my powers of empathy and strategy I have coached thousands of job seekers, entrepreneurs, and organizations to help them create a better future of work. On any given day, you can find me as an educator, facilitator, consultant, creator and host of SIPS & Leadership, CliftonStrengths coach, and board member. My ongoing PhD research in is focused on understanding the ecosystem of belonging in the workplace.
on a mission to Make the pie bigger
In all of my work, I look to make the pie bigger for all involved and for a solutions where stakeholders benefit. A virtuous cycle is one where one change or interaction creates more positive impact. In organizations this is about having one slice of change create more and more positive results for the entire organization. Key to this is creating high performing work teams and solid relationships. It is what helps teams work as a sum greater than their individual parts, operationalizing ideas with regards to the entire system, and translating a vision into tangible results. Investing in leadership and talent holds the key to creating community in the workplace, strong employee experiences, and increasing interaction among people of different backgrounds.
with adventures (and snacks) along the way
In addition to savoring my craft, I feed my creativity (literally) by exploring food markets, trying out new and old recipes, travel, and dining. My biggest adventure is that of a parent to an active and curious teen in New York City.
